Any
good golf shot begins with a good set-up. It has often been said in teaching circles
that the set-up is 80% of the swing.
- Place the clubhead to the ball so it is square to the line of flight.
- Take your stance so that you are in a comfortable position with the knees slightly
flexed.
- The left arm serves as an extension of the club shaft in a straight line to the
left shoulder. When the right hand is added to complete the grip, the hands should
be directly over the ball.
- The right shoulder should be slightly lower than the left since the right hand
is lower on the shaft.
- You are now ready to initiate the swing.
